UnitedSeats Voyager C65 built into waste collection vehicle
A driver of a Scania waste truck for the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands, had recently been experiencing increasing physical discomfort. Despite visits to the physiotherapist, the discomfort continued to recur while driving. It was therefore time to look for an ergonomic solution for the seating position in the waste truck.

The municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn has been a customer of EBLO for some time and was familiar with our expertise in the field of ergonomic seats and seating solutions. When the driver discussed his complaints with his manager, we were contacted again. An appointment was quickly made to try out various seats in our showroom in Zwijndrecht.

Test sitting in the showroom
During the test sitting, the driver was able to try out various models. It soon became clear that the Voyager seat from UnitedSeats offered a comfortable solution. The spacious seat and ergonomic design provide immediately noticeable comfort. The Voyager C65 Premium was particularly popular. This seat is similar to the Voyager C60 Comfort, but also features an integrated climate control system. In addition to the comfortable seat, the integrated height-adjustable seat belt was also seen as a major advantage. This is particularly useful when other drivers of different heights also drive the truck.

Installation in the Scania waste truck
After choosing the Voyager C65 Premium seat, we were able to install it in the Scania waste truck. Our technical staff removed the old seat and installed the Voyager seat. The driver's seat was then adjusted correctly to ensure maximum seating comfort.
