Safety systems
When using a forklift, there is a danger of tipping over. Since December, 1998 all forklift trucks must therefore be equipped with a safety device that prevents the driver from becoming trapped in case of an overturn.
A safety belt provides protection, but in practice it is difficult for the user to tighten the belt again when frequently getting on and off the truck. In addition to (safety) belts, waist belt systems (GBS) and the Double Easy Belt, EBLO also supplies PPS and IWS safety systems, also called safety doors.
With a minimal action the user locks the IWS or PPS safety system (whether or not fitted with a safety switch) and can safely continue on his or her way and carry out the required work. If the forklift tilts, the driver remains within the contours of the forklift (safety cage construction) and thus avoids serious injuries due to entrapment.
PPS and IWS systems:
Works faster than a belt, in terms of getting in and out;
Protect the driver in the event of forklift tip-over;
Provide more freedom of movement;
Are available for almost all forklifts.
