More back support with built-in lumbar support

Van Mossel Automotive Group is one of the largest car dealers in the Benelux region. They are active in the sale and leasing of new and used (company) cars. The branch in Bergschenhoek, Rijnmond region, approached us to modify the standard seats in ten Mercedes Vito vans. The reason was that Van Mossel's customer, Conclusion Foreyet, felt that the seats in the Mercedes Vito vans did not offer enough comfort. Conclusion Foreyet provides electronic signs at train stations throughout the Netherlands. Therefore, a lot of kilometres are covered by the drivers.
Seat instruction on location
EBLO has done seat adjustments for Van Mossel before, so this time, too, Van Mossel contacted us to solve this seating problem. Our ergonomic consultant visited Conclusion Foreyet for on-site seating instruction and to talk to the drivers to see how the standard seat could be made more comfortable. During the seating instruction and pressure measurement, many ergonomic explanations were given and the importance of an ergonomic sitting posture explained. The drivers indicated that they would like more back support.
Lumbar support provides the solution
The conclusion could quickly be drawn that a built-in 3-chambered lumbar support offered the solution to the drivers' sitting problem. This lumbar support is mounted in the backrest of the car seat and can be adjusted in three places: the bottom, middle and top of the backrest. It thus provides support for the entire back. With the 3-chamber lumbar support, the driver can easily adjust the degree of support himself by pumping air into the chambers using a hand pump. This allows each driver to quickly and easily set their own ideal support.
