Sit well between the mills
Anyone who visits Kinderdijk, the Netherlands, will come across "the Hoek brothers". Whereas the company started out in 1953 trading in reeds, the third generation of the Hoek brothers, Dirk Jr. and Maarten-Jan, is mainly involved in maintaining river banks and managing nature reserves. There is also plenty of work to be done 'in between the mills', on the banks of Kinderdijk, and a good seat is important.
At one point, Maarten-Jan had had enough. After a day's work with the Hitachi excavator, you could wipe him out. "My back, legs, shoulders ... everything! When I got home in the evening, I was exhausted. In hindsight, that's not surprising, as the seat he was sitting on was old and worn, and also far too small.
The seat of the seat was too short. My legs were sticking out," Maarten-Jan remembers. So it was time to find a new seat. But which one to choose? There are lots of seats on the internet but which is the right one? Peter, the Hitachi dealer who asked Maarten-Jan for advice, didn't have to think twice. "Call EBLO," he said. And so it happened.
Then things went very quickly. That same day, a salesman from EBLO came to look at the old seat and immediately gave advice on a suitable new seat. This was ordered and delivered a few days later, after which the Hoek brothers themselves installed the seat in their excavator. "Speed is important to us because we use our Hitachi excavator for many jobs. It was very nice that EBLO switched immediately and came up with a solution!"
And do you like the seat? "Definitely," says Maarten-Jan. "When I finish work now, I feel fit and can still do something in the evening. It has been well worth the investment."
