Boskalis opts for Norsap steering seat in new cabin
Royal Boskalis B.V. is an international contractor and is mainly known in the field of dredging and maritime services, such as towing and salvage activities. For a new project, Boskalis is heading to the German part of the North Sea with the vessel ‘Boka Ocean’. There they will lay kilometres of cables in the wind farms. This will allow the wind energy won from the wind farms to be transferred to the German mainland, where millions of people can use this green power.

For this work, a new cabin was built on the ship to monitor the operations. With the construction of the cabin, a new seat was also needed. Hennie Olsthoorn, our steering seat specialist, visited the Port of Rotterdam to measure the workplace and recommend the best seat. In consultation with the customer, the Norsap 1500 was chosen. We were able to install this sturdy boat seat with durable leather upholstery in the Boka Ocean immediately in the evening.
)
The Norsap 1500 steering seat with round base was mounted on a special rail by our technical staff. This allows the seat to stand firmly and the entire seat to be easily slid forwards and backwards to join the desk. The high seat swivels, making boarding easy via the extra sturdy footrest.
)
A Norsap steering seat always offers perfect seating comfort. The extra-thick seat cushion and high backrest combined with the robust folding armrests give the body the perfect support. The seat can be adjusted forwards and backwards and is even inclinable, for the ultimate in seating comfort.
Users of the seat are very satisfied. We wish the crew many happy hours on their new Norsap seat.
