EBLO supplies ASS Cargoline seat for Doosan crawler crane
Werkendam-based (in the Netherlands) contractor P. de Visser is a modern company with more than 60 years of experience in civil and cultural engineering ground and green works. With an extensive fleet of various machines, they take care of various jobs every day, with their drivers spending many hours in the cab. P. de Visser not only invests in equipment, but also values a good and ergonomic working environment for their staff. When it emerged that the existing seat in a 25-tonne Doosan crawler crane was causing complaints to the operator, the decision to install a custom-made seat was quickly made and EBLO was contacted.

Enquiry via the EBLO website
The contracting company P. De Visser submitted a request via the EBLO website and then scheduled an appointment in our showroom. Here, the operator in question discussed his seating problems with our technical ergonomist, Evert Mallie.
After thorough evaluation, the ASS Cargo line seat was chosen, which features a luxurious and automatic ISRI air-suspended suspension system. The air suspension system ensures that shocks and vibrations are absorbed and that the operator is not exposed to them. In addition, various ergonomic options such as pneumatically adjustable lumbar support and seat depth adjustment ensure optimal seating comfort and the right body support during long working days.

On-site installation: customisation on the shop floor
As the joystick consoles of the Doosan crawler crane were fully integrated into the original seat, it had to be dismantled at the work site in Dordrecht, where the crane was operational at the time. This way, the operators had minimal downtime of their machine, and could quickly get back to work after reinstalling the seat.
)
The new ASS seat was installed: this new seat is equipped with various adjustment options, allowing the operator to adjust the sitting position according to the work, allowing for more active sitting.
)
Result: pain-free work with improved sitting comfort
The new, installed seat and the necessary seating instruction helped create awareness among the operator on how to optimally adjust the seat for different tasks. The operator can now once again perform his daily tasks pain-free and with pleasure, contributing to both his well-being and productivity.
A word:
‘While the standard seats installed in cranes or machines comply with legal standards and requirements, they often require extra attention to best suit the individual seating needs of each operator. In this project, too, the standard seat turned out not to meet all seating requirements. We carefully adjusted the seat to the operator's physique to optimise seating comfort and ergonomics. We also made sure that the operator is fully aware of how best to adjust the seat. This not only increases seating comfort, but also enables the operator to independently adjust the seat correctly when needed.’
