EBLO Seating in RTL Autowereld and Transportwereld broadcasts
EBLO was previously the focus of the RTL Transportwereld program in 2016. This program is very well known especially among drivers, car enthusiasts and people in the transport world and attracts many viewers every week. This time, another look behind the scenes and an extensive interview with Evert Mallie, general manager of EBLO Seating in Zwijndrecht.
EBLO provides custom-made seats for any vehicle. For these broadcasts, ergonomic custom-made car seats are brought to the attention.
Every person is different, with a different height and stature. So who is a seat of, say, a passenger car or van actually made for? For the average person? What is average? Are you average? Probably not. Then you can ask yourself whether you are sitting on a good seat. Does the length of the seat cushion fit your long or short legs? Does the back cushion fit your shoulders? Is the headrest not too low or too high? These are things you might not think about. And yet they are very important if you are going to be spending a long time in the car. This, of course, also applies to professional drivers or self-employed workers, who often spend hours a day in the vehicle!
Most people are in the car almost every day. And then there are those annoying traffic jams. Sitting back and relaxing can be nice, but if you know what kind of load it puts on your back and if you see what happens to your spine and pelvis, then you will realize that we all need to pay much more attention to proper seating.
Buying a sofa for your living room allows you to test sit and try out different sofas. This is not possible with a car seat. You have to make do with the seat that comes standard in the vehicle. Crazy really.
Evert Mallie explains in the broadcasts that a (car) seat that fits your body is very important, and that it is a matter of small effort, great pleasure. Purchasing a custom seat is just a one-time purchase. You simply move your own personal car seat to your next car after a few years. So you will enjoy your own seat for a long time. It will also prevent a lot of fatigue and body complaints.
Evert's message is that humans are not made to sit. Sitting is even bad for our bodies. So if we have to sit, let's do it on the right seat.
