New seat in Kalmar container reach truck
EBLO is proud at all times that we are able to provide an ergonomic seating solution. With a seated profession, ergonomic working combined with seating comfort is a must. Recently our customer Hacon Containers, located in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), contacted us to solve their seating problem.

With over 1,200 containers under their management, Hacon is a specialist in the sale and rental of containers of all sizes. To move and stack all the containers, Hacon uses a Kalmar container reach truck. After five years of intensive use, the old seat in the reach truck was now showing some defects. The seat suspension worked less smoothly and, in addition, the driver began to experience some physical complaints. Ergonomically, the seat left much to be desired. It was up to us to solve this seating problem.

After our customer contacted our advisor André P. van der Hoeven by phone, the best seat to solve the seating problem was identified. EBLO has several seats for reach trucks in its product range. For Hacon's container reach truck, we recommended a seat combination of two different brands: a Grammer air suspension system in combination with a Recaro single upper. Such 'specials' EBLO regularly recommends, supplies and installs for our customers, for in various types of machines and vehicles. The advantage of being able to make such a unique seat combination is that it does not tie us to one particular seat brand. This allows us to put together the ideal seat for every seating problem.

The ergonomically shaped Recaro single upper is made of synthetic leather combined with fabric upholstery. The seat can be adjusted entirely to the driver's wishes thanks, among other things, to an adjustable headrest, in depht adjustable seat cushion, adjustable side cheeks and a triple lumbar support. The deluxe upholstered armrests complete this ergonomic seat.

Installation of the seat by our technical staff in the Kalmar machine went smoothly. A joystick was attached to the side of the old seat. For the new seat, we had already made the necessary preparations in our workshop to be able to transfer the joystick. Thanks to a specially tailored metal bracket, attached to the side of the seat, our mechanic could easily transfer the joystick to the new seat.

The driver of Hacon Containers was very happy and visibly satisfied with the seating comfort and physical support provided by the new seat. EBLO wishes him many pleasant hours in the Kalmar reach truck with this Grammer/Recaro 'special'.
