More comfortable seats for VAB
The 'Belgian Automobile Association', VAB, was looking for a more comfortable seat for the drivers of their towing vehicles. Not an easy task, because according to Belgian law seats often have to be re-inspected after conversion. But EBLO would not be EBLO if we could not deliver the right seat quickly. And so it happened.
The towing vehicles of VAB are vans of IVECO which are delivered from the factory with a suspension seat. This seat offers quite a lot of comfort of its own, but it was not enough for the VAB vans. "If we just drive on the road there is no problem. But if there is a car at the back of the loading ramp, it gives a lot of horizontal shaking for both the driver and the co-driver. Especially during breaking, the car shakes quite a lot. Not a pleasant feeling. And that several times a day," says an employee of the VAB.
Time to change this. EBLO was happy to choose an air-suspension seat with automatic weight adjustment and horizontal suspension. Specially composed for VAB and delivered ready to install with an installation frame that makes it easy to obtain the required OC (type approval) on the vehicle.
VAB says it is very pleased with the new seats. "Dozens of vehicles have already been fitted with this new seat. The users are also very satisfied as they often spend many hours in the car. Especially the air suspension and the horizontal damping give the comfort we were looking for. We installed the seat ourselves. The first seat was a bit more difficult, but in the meantime we have enough experience and it is actually quite easy to install the seats ourselves. Every year we convert several vehicles to the new situation. We are grateful to EBLO for the help offered!"

"The vehicle was already equipped with air suspension so we decided to install an air suspension seat with an automatic weight adjustment so that the seat is quickly at the right weight for each driver. The original standard seat did not have a good lumbar support and the seat cushion could not be adjusted properly. There was no armrest on the right side, which was also a wish-list item. The specially assembled seat comes with a ready-to-install frame, making it easy to get the vehicle approved."
