Seating comfort on rough terrain
The large wheels of a tree lifting machine stand deformed in the mud, while a large gripper arm firmly grips some 15 forest trees and drags them behind it over rough terrain. "This is just one example of the heavy work that is daily routine for our users," says our customer, an Austrian supplier of machines for forestry work. "That calls for good seats!"
"They often sit on a seat for 8 to 10 hours and hardly ever tread on level ground," the supplier continues. "The machines we supply are extremely manoeuvrable and can easily negotiate the most inhospitable terrain, but the result is that the driver is sitting at an angle. That does something to your body. A seat that offers the right support in all positions is essential for this work".
It is therefore no surprise that our customer was looking for a seat for a new machine that was easily adjustable and provided maximum comfort. But it was difficult for him to determine exactly what was necessary.
"I know all about forestry machines, but don't ask me what makes a good seat". For EBLO, the answer was easy and they offered a very luxurious seat with a lot of adjustment possibilities.
Our customer looks back with satisfaction. "We are very happy with this seat and we also get a lot of positive feedback from the users. EBLO has advised us well with determining the final seat. Something we would never have come up with ourselves!
