On-site seating guidance at EBS Poeldijk

EBLO delivered an on-site seating instruction session in Poeldijk for EBS, a Dutch transport company that operates regional public transport services. The seating training session is designed to provide insight into the drivers’ current sitting posture and to demonstrate how the seat can be adjusted for optimum comfort. This ensures greater seating comfort and support whilst at work. Several drivers have signed up to take part in this seating training session.

Interactive presentation

The seating workshop begins with an interactive presentation by one of our seating specialists, Jan Willem Groeneveld. During this presentation, topics such as avoiding a static working posture and practical tips for sitting comfortably and healthily throughout the working day will be covered.

Individual seating guidance

Following the presentation, each driver receives individual seating guidance on board one of the EBS buses. Using a specially developed pressure-measuring mat, body pressure is mapped across more than 250 measurement points. This measurement provides immediate insight into pressure distribution and any potential seating issues. Based on the results, the seat is adjusted to the optimal setting and the driver receives personalised advice on how to further improve their sitting posture.

By combining theory and practice, the seating instruction helps drivers to carry out their daily work more comfortably, more healthily and with better physical support.
